My Accounting Hub (my-accounting-hub.com) is operated by Axiella Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16859263), registered office 6 Mulberry Walk, Fleet, GU51 5EA. For UK data protection law, Axiella Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We run an online directory that connects individuals and businesses with independent accounting professionals, and we provide document templates.

What we collect

  • People seeking help: you can search and browse anonymously. If you contact a professional or use a tool, we may process the details you provide (name, email, your description of the matter).
  • Professionals: the information in your listing (name, firm, regulator and registration number, contact details, specialisms, photo, biography), plus billing details handled by our payment processor.
  • Everyone: basic technical data (IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed) and cookie data - see our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

  • To operate the directory, match searches to professionals, and pass enquiries to the professional you choose.
  • To review professionals’ listings before they go live, which may include checking details on a regulator’s public register.
  • To take payment for memberships and document templates (via Stripe).
  • To improve the service, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations.
  • To show prices in your local currency: on your first visit we look up your approximate country from your IP address in a database held on our own server (no third party is contacted, and the result is not stored against you). Your currency choice is then remembered in your browser. IP geolocation data by DB-IP.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Legal bases

We rely on: performance of a contract (memberships, document purchases); legitimate interests (running and improving the directory, security, credential checks); consent (non-essential cookies, marketing email); and legal obligation (accounting and tax records).

Sharing

We share data with: the professional you contact; service providers who help us operate (hosting, email delivery via SMTP2GO, payments via Stripe, and Google Analytics - only if you accept analytics cookies); regulators’ public registers when we review a listing; and authorities where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, six years for financial records).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, or receive a copy in a portable format. Professionals can request removal of a listing at any time. Contact info@my-accounting-hub.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

International transfers

Because the directory is global, data may be transferred outside the UK/EEA. Where it is, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
